Buttercup costume progress

Still need to even the skirt, hem it, and tweak the front collar. All eyelets on it are hand! sewn and...there are lots of them. I might need to add some down the back of the skirt.Oh and I need to iron it...but I am still torn between trying to over dye it, as it is actually more of a red orange in color.

Wow - it looks great! It's nice to see a fellow brown-haired Buttercup! :-) What inspired you to make this costume?

I wouldn't overdye it - if you watch the movie, it's very orangey. I was thinking mine was too red, actually!

Thanks! You made me start wanting the gown again I've always liked it and then it sorta hit me, "oh wait I got the skills to make it finally!" So it all just meshed together at last when I got some linen/rayon fabric for it, for a buck a yard.

I can pull off red tones a bit getter then oranges so might still over dye it, and I'd like it to be a deeper color just a tad. I might end up just flipping a coin to decide. =)
