Zoom scissors/rotary cutter

Has anyone used this or something like it before? The CT in my wrist is getting to be an issue from time to time and that looks like it would cut through anything.

Octagonal blade? How does that work?

I do not know. My best guess is it spins fast enough that the shape forms cutting circle and maybe with thick fabric the blade shape keeps it from "skipping" over bulky areas or lumps.

My guess is the same as weith serration- but with the speed of the spin of the blades that needs to be more defined.

Engineering brain- no engineering language sorry, but yeah grabbing the fabric.

As for the device, I'd think ideal for large panels or lots of straight cuts.

It looks like thwre are two blades - a fixed one that goes under the fabrtic and the rotating octagonal one that is shaped so it has an opening and closing morion as it rotates against the fixed blade (My best guess from looking at it).

I haven't seen anything like it before so can't be any help about how well or badly it works.
